The most advanced biometric palm reader on the market today. While biometric identification systems that rely on fingerprints, face shape, voice, signature and pupil can be imitated, and therefore used for potentialyl fraudulent purposes, whereas using palm vein biometrics is completely unique and impossible to imitate because it uses infrared scanning to identify the unique veins in an individul's hand.
The identification rate is high. FRR (false rejection rate) = 0.01%, FAR (false acceptance rate)<0.00008%. Compared with finger vein and dorsal hand veins, the palm vein has far more unique and identitying elements. So, while everyone can use palm veins to uniquely identify themselves, 2%-3% of the population cannot be identified through the use of thier fingerprints.
